Minimum Qualifications Knowledge of: - Concepts and terminology related to economics, finance and accounting - Industry practices related to investments, debt instruments, or cash management - Principles of various analytical approaches including cost benefit and present value analyses - Techniques used to develop financial projections, analyses and models
Ability to: - Prepare complex financial analyses, forecasts and models using Excel - Generate ideas that reduce expenses or risks or generate revenue - Prepare a business case to weigh the relative costs, risks, and benefits of a potential action - Structure, analyze and manage complex contracts and transactions - Work both independently and in a team setting - Communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in written form - Take a lead role in a project - Manage important internal and external relationships, including rating agencies, investors and executive management - Read and analyze financial statements
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible relevant work experience in one or more of the following areas: financial forecasting, economic analysis and modeling, investment management, commercial banking credit analysis, cash management, accounting or debt management. An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for two years of experience.
Education: BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university majoring in Business or Public Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field.

All business transactions follow the District’s risk parameters and ethical business practices.
Minimum Qualifications A Principal Energy Trading Specialist must meet the requirements of and have demonstrated Proficiency in the following three Specialty Areas:

In addition, the Principal Energy Trading Specialist must possess:
